Open pin positions for golf courses.
The cup moves. OpenPinsheet keeps a record of where it stood, by date and hole, and anyone may use it under the Open Database License.

One record, one fact
On this date, on this hole, the cup was here.
A record carries no names, no time of day and no IDs; the coordinate locates itself. Every record says how the position was found: estimated in metres from the edges of the green, surveyed with GNSS, or placed on a map.
Who it is for
Greenkeepers
Where the cup has been on each green across a season, kept even when the club changes tools.
Developers
One format for every course, as CSV and GeoJSON. No account and no key.
Researchers
How greens are used over days and seasons, with the source of every position stated.
Add your club
Clubs do not upload anything here. Your greenkeeper enters the day's pins in a tool the club already uses, and that tool, a data partner, passes them on.
- The greenkeeper enters the pinsMetres or yards from the front and from the side, in the partner's tool.
- The data partner passes on the dayOnce the day is over everywhere, without names or times.
- The day is publishedThree days later, as a file that does not change.

One CSV and one GeoJSON file per day, one file per year, and an index with checksums.

How to credit
Use the data for anything, also commercially. If you build a database from it, name the source and share that database under the same licence.
